Grey Raines currently serves as President of Raines Hospitality and Managing Partner of SpringBridge Development. Born and raised in Florence, SC, Grey first attended area schools before graduating from IMG/Leadbetter Golf Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He attended Francis Marion University where he studied Economics and played on the Golf Team while working part-time for the family business.
Grey’s focus on handling new projects and working with his contact base to seek and develop more opportunities, has lead him to become partner and co-founder of SpringBridge Development, LLC with his partners Chris Scott and Jay Ham. With multiple projects under development across the Southeast, Grey’s hospitality experience quickly expanded to taking on experience in underwriting projects, raising capital, land acquisition, brand positioning, historic renovation, construction management, and many other project development aspects.
Grey is very active in the community and the state serving on various South Carolina Boards and Councils to ensure the continued growth and success of Raines Hospitality and SpringBridge Development, LLC. Grey is the past chairman of the Young Professionals of Florence, as well as the past chairman of the Florence Chamber of Commerce. Grey is currently a chairman for the Florence Civic Center Committee as well as currently serving the state in the Small Business Commission.
James Ham Jr. currently serves as a partner at SpringBridge Development as is president of CMI. Jay earned his BA in Finance at Wofford College in 1990. At the age of twenty-seven, he founded Carolina Modular Inc., a commercial modular manufacturing and construction company. In 2005, a private equity firm purchased the modular building operation and Jay transformed the shell company into a construction consulting and project management firm. Jay’s role with SpringBridge Development allows him to use his knowledge and experience to oversee all preconstruction and construction activities.
Jay is a LEED-certified professional and has served as the Governor’s appointee to the South Carolina Building Codes Council. He is past chairman of the Pee Dee Big Brothers, past member of the board for the Florence Museum, and current vestry member for St. John’s Church. He is a Fellow of the 2011 class of the Liberty Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Jay lives in Florence with his wife and two children.
Currently serves as a managing partner of Pearce Land Company, with a specialization in the office and retail development sector, as well as managing partner of Springbridge Development. Chris attended Davidson College, where he graduated with a BA in History. Prior to working at Pearce Land Company and Springbridge Development, Chris had 12 years of experience in the banking and finance industries. Here at Springbridge Development, he draws on his past experiences to focus on project development and coordination. Chris lives in Florence with his wife and two children, and is very active within the Florence community. He is a member of various civic boards, an elder at First Presbyterian Church of Florence, as well as involvement with the downtown homeless shelter.
Kristen B. Myers
Kristen B. Myers currently serves as the Development Coordinator for SpringBridge Development and Raines Hospitality. Kristen is responsible for new development and overall project coordination while acting as the liaison between SpringBridge and it’s contractors. Kristen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Management at Clemson University. She then worked in Greenville at an engineering, construction and procurement firm where she gained experience in project management and marketing.
Kristen resides in Florence with her husband and she is a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church. She is a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and Professionals United for Leadership and Social Enrichment (PULSE), while being an active member in the Florence community.
